Turkey… I would need as many words as the number of
the Turkish roads to define this rich and vast country, so full of generous
people, great food and the most amazing cultural heritage.
After these amazing two weeks spent (mainly) in
Istanbul and in the Aegean coast, the feeling which prevails is the desire to
come back!
It´s definitely a very rich and varied holiday
destination. When I travel I always try to combine the best of both worlds for
me: cultural and historical sites with some seaside or countryside dwelling.
This summer, I successfully achieved as much. From the majestic mosques,
palaces and museums in Istanbul, the Aegean beaches of Çesme (so close to the Greek
islands), the glorious remains of Ephesus, to the “cotton palaces” of
Pamukkale, these days out couldn´t have been more complete and fulfilling .
Soon, I will give you more details and useful tips
about travelling in Asia Minor.

Turquia… Precisaria de tantas palavras como o número
das estradas turcas para definir este país tão rico e tão vasto, recheado de
pessoas generosas, comida maravilha e da mais extraordinária herança cultural.
Depois destas duas semanas fantásticas, passadas
essencialmente em Istambul e na costa do Egeu, o sentimento que prevalece é o de
querer voltar!
Definitivamente, este é um destino de férias
bastante rico e variado. Quando viajo gosto sempre de tentar combinar o melhor
de dois mundos (para mim): locais de relevância cultural e histórica e alguma
deambulação pelo mar e pelo campo. Este Verão concretizei estes objectivos com
sucesso! Das mesquitas, palácios e museus majestosos de Istambul, às praias de
Çesme (tão próximas das ilhas gregas), das gloriosas ruínas de Éfeso, aos “palácios
de algodão” de Pamukkale, estes dias não poderiam ter sido mais completos e
enriquecedores.
